"Bird Watcher" Goebel Hummel Figurine #300 - Gerhard Skrobek

A Generous Winter Friend

Bring a wonderfully tender touch of childhood kindness and spectacular Bavarian artistry to your collection with this adorable Goebel Hummel figurine, "Bird Watcher" (Model #300)! This classic vintage collectible is incredibly special, as it was the very first piece ever modeled by the legendary master sculptor Gerhard Skrobek! Originally known as Tenderness, it captures a delightfully sweet winter scene, featuring a young boy bundled up against the cold. He is standing in the snow, wearing a blue shirt, brown trousers, and a thick red scarf blowing in the wind, holding a large piece of bread to feed a pair of hungry bluebirds and a little brown bird gathered at his feet! 👦🏼🍞🐦❄️✨

Exquisite Craftsmanship & Quality: This charming figure is a breathtaking showcase of Goebel's famed dedication to character craftsmanship. While early samples exist from the 1950s, the vast majority of these sweet figures bear the TMK-5 through TMK-8 trademarks! The meticulous hand-painted brushstrokes highlighting his softly focused expression, the expertly sculpted, tactile texture of the bread crust and the snowy ground, and the remarkably soft, classic matte color palettes highlight incredible German porcelain artistry! As seen in the pictures, it is in EXCELLENT condition with absolutely no chips, cracks, crazing, or professional repairs. ✨ Proudly display this generous nature lover safely resting as a cheerful accent piece on a brightly lit sunroom windowsill, or as a cozy, rustic focal point on a classic oak living room mantel!
