A Legendary Historic Conflict
Bring a wonderful touch of legendary American history and spectacular English craftsmanship to your display with this incredibly rare Royal Doulton large character jug, "The Battle Of Little Big Horn 1876" (Model D6712)! Hand-crafted in England and brilliantly designed by the talented Michael Abberley, this impressive vintage collectible was introduced in 1984 as part of "The Antagonists' Collection." Produced as a strict Limited Edition of 9,500, it perfectly captures the two legendary figures of the famous 1876 Battle of the Little Bighorn. One side features the stern face of General George Armstrong Custer, the youngest general in the US Army, wearing his black cavalry hat. The opposing side features the striking, intense profile of Sioux Chief Sitting Bull wearing a magnificent feathered headdress. Best of all, it features a clever, dual-sided dimensional handle formed by a cavalry revolver and a Native American tomahawk! 🪶🐴⚔️✨
Exquisite Craftsmanship & Quality: Measuring an impressive 7" tall by 7" wide, this large two-faced jug is a breathtaking showcase of Royal Doulton's famed dedication to character craftsmanship. The meticulous hand-painted brushstrokes highlighting their incredibly expressive faces, the expertly sculpted, tactile texture of the headdress feathers, and the wonderfully rich, glossy fired finish highlight incredible English porcelain artistry! As seen in the pictures, it is in EXCELLENT condition with absolutely no chips, cracks, crazing, or professional repairs. ✨ Proudly display this historically significant piece safely resting on a richly stained wooden study bookshelf, or as a commanding historic accent on a den console table!
